The invention relates to a plant for electrochemical regeneration of iron plating electrolyte with automatic control, to a device and a method for analytical control of the content of iron(III) ions in the iron plating electrolyte and can be used in the electroplating industry for reconditioning of worn-out parts of machines and mechanisms.The plant, according to the invention, comprises a regeneration unit (11), in which is located a volume-porous flow-through foam nickel cathode (12) and an anode (14), separated by a diaphragm (13) forming the anode space and the cathode space, connected to a galvanic bath (8) through a recirculation pipeline (10), to which is connected a device for analytical control of the content of iron (III) ions through the working electrolyte metered inlet branch pipe and the produced colloidal solution outlet branch pipe, coupled with a flow-through nephelometer (16). The device includes a cylindrical pH electrocorrector (1), in the lower part of which is placed a flow diaphragm electrolyzer, and in the upper part - a mixing unit, in which are placed a pH-meter sensor (6) and a gummed spherical loading of barium hexaferrite (5), and on the outer part is placed a solenoid (7). At the same time, the pH-meter sensor and the nephelometer of the given device are connected to the inputs of the pH-meter amplifier (18) and of the nephelometer amplifier (17), and their outputs - to the input of a comparator (24), the output of which is connected in series to the input of a voltage regulator (25) and to a rectifier (26), the second output of the pH-meter amplifier (18) is connected to the input of another comparator (19), connected to a setting device (20), the output of which is connected in series to an independent voltage regulator (21) and to a rectifier (22).The method, according to the invention, consists in that electrolyte samples are selected in a continuous mode, is added an alkaline reagent, produced by electrochemical generation of OH- ions, at a pH of 3.5…4.1, with the formation of the colloidal iron hydroxide (III) precipitate, which concentration is then determined according to the optical density by the nephelometric analysis at a wavelength of 342 nm.
