The invention provides a transmission chain with links which are mutually coupled by rocker pin assemblies with each a first and a second elongate rocker pin of which at least one co-operates in a torque transmitting way with pulley sheaves, and in which links and rocker pins are secured against a mutual displacement in that a bore is provided in each of the end areas of the rocker pins which crosses the longitudinal axis of the rocker pin and is directed in the height dimension of the rocker pin, said bore comprising two in-line parts of mutually different cross-section of which the larger one accommodates a pin-shaped part of a locking element which lies outside this bore and co-operates with a side surface of a link.
