METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF RAW CELLULOSE IN VEGETABLE AND cucurbitaceous PRODUCTS

A method for the determination of raw cellulose in vegetable and cucurbitaceous products includes extraction of acid- and alkaline soluble substances with sulphuric acid and 20% solution of caustic potassium, washing of precipitate. Extraction is carried out for 20 min. with sulphuric acid with concentration of 5.0 % and for 20 minutes with addition of 20% solution of caustic potassium, with washing precipitate of cellulose with ethyl-acetic ether.
