A method for the assessment of the morphofunctional activity of the salivary gland in the persons born to the mothers in hypokinesia state during the pregnancy comprises the assessment of the compensatory adaptive reaction of this organ to the exogenous factors. The samples of mandibular salivary gland are fixed in 10 % neutral formalin, processed in the ethanol of increasing strength, embedded in paraffin. The specimens prepared are stained with hematoxylin-eosin, picrofuchsine according to Van-Gison, galocyanite according to Einarson, PAS reaction is assessed and kariometry is provided using the computed image of the specimens under microscope. When the mean area of glandulocyte nucleus is 21.25±0.71 µm2, p1-20.02, the morphofunctional activity of the salivary gland is considered as reduced one.
