The invention is a preparation for oral administration of the probiotic Shewanella PDP11 to fish. The preparation is characterized by containing viable bacterial cells of the strain CECT 7627 encapsulated in calcium alginate based in form of spherical particles of uniform morphology and modified to fit different sized fish size hydrogel. The capsules contain additives organoleptic and / or nutritional acting as attractants for animals. The preparation maintains viable bacteria for prolonged periods, it is stable in water environments, and supports the passage through the digestive tract of fish, for which it has favorable biological effects. Their oral administration is independent of the usual food, thus avoiding the microorganism inactivation during feed manufacture.
