The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for analyzing a nuclear power plant coolant. The apparatus for analyzing nuclear power plant coolant includes comprises: a sample pick-upselection unit, a first analysis unit, and a second analysis unit. The sample pick-upselection unit picks upselects a sample solution to be analyzed from a nuclear power plant coolant passage. The first analysis unit receives the sample solution from the sample pick-upselection unit to detect the components of the sample solution using chemical luminescence. The second analysis unit receives the sample solution from the sample pick-upselection unit to detect the components of the sample solution using capillary electrophoresis. The first and second analysis units may be operated at the same timesimultaneously and on-line to detect ion components contained in the nuclear power plant coolant on-line.
