The invention relates to a composite molded body and to the use thereof for concentrating solar radiation in solar reflectors against the background of ensuring the required reflection of solar radiation (total solar reflection) in the most sustainable manner possible. The invention relates in particular to a novel substrate material and to coating the same by means of a physical and/or vapor deposition process (PVD/CVD process), for example, and to an adhesion-promoting polymeric layer contained in the composite body. The adhesion-promoting layer assures a lastingly bonding coatability of the reflective coating and an extended service life of the composite molded body.
