The component of a fiber compound material, as a friction body, is a mixture of fibers and a resin, which has not hardened, to be pyrolyzed at least at 200[deg]C while the material is under a defined pressure. The fibers (10), mainly of carbon, are impregnated in a container (12) of resin and heated in a pyrolysis stage (14) where heat is delivered (16) to give the compound material (18). The material is passed to a further stage (20) where a SiC matrix is formed at =1400[deg]C under vacuum, to give a final compound material (22) with ceramic components.
