ARCHITECTURAL COMPONENT CAPABLE OF WITHSTANDING BALLISTIC IMPACTS AND/OR THE IMPACT OF EXPLOSIVE WAVES

Architectural component (1) capable of withstanding ballistic impacts and/or the impact of explosive waves, which has a parallelepipedal configuration and is constituted by the association of an exterior cement-mortar panel (2) acting as one of the two larger faces of the architectural component (1), which include a biaxial prestressed steel framework, and another panel (2) that acts as the other larger face, which has the same properties as the exterior panel. Between the panels (2) and backing onto said panels is an inserted plurality of sets of plates of an elastomeric material (3) that alternate with other plates of a steel-type material (4). Between two or more sets of plates of elastomeric material (3) and of steel-type material (4) it is possible to include at least one biaxially reinforced and prestressed cement-mortar panel that has properties identical to those of the panels (2) that constitute the two larger faces of the architectural component.
