Provided are a server device, program, reward-granting method, and reward-granting system that can draw a user's attention to contents delivered to the user. The server device is connected to a communications terminal operated by the user through a network. The server device stores multiple events, which can occur in contents delivered to a user, and rewards corresponding to the events. When one of the events occurs in the contents, the server device, for example, puts the event details and reward details in a state that can be transmitted to the communications terminal and when a transmission request is received, communicates same to the communications terminal. When a reward request is received from the communications terminal, the server device determines the reward that corresponds to the occurring event and is to be granted to the user. When so doing, the period for receiving a reward request is set to be from the time the event occurs until completion of content delivery, at the latest.
