Embodiments of the present invention relate to a calling account configuration method, a calling apparatus, and a gateway. The method comprises: a digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) submachine configuring a calling account for a local machine according to calling account information set by a user; the DECT submachine receiving an identification request that is sent by a gateway and carries calling account upload information; and sending a response message for the identification request, so that the gateway sets a calling account, which is carried by the response message and is uploaded according to the calling account upload information, as a unique identifier, used for a calling service, of the DECT submachine. In the embodiments of the present invention, the user can configure a calling account by operating the DECT submachine, and then reports the calling account to the gateway, thereby improving flexibility in the configuration of a calling account and improving user experience.
