The present invention relates to a game technique, and a system for providing an online shooting game according to one embodiment of the technique can be connected to a plurality of game clients through a network, and controls different characters for each of the plurality of the game clients. The system for providing an online shooting game comprises a team organization management unit, a game providing control unit, and a round management unit. The team organization management unit confirms whether M teams respectively having N characters are organized with respect to a player group which has requested a game. The game providing control unit sets the M teams as opponents for the team organization confirmed by the team organization management unit, and arranges the M teams within a limited virtual region, then provides at least one round. The round management unit confirms whether the at least one round is terminated according to a closing condition, and calculates round scores for each team or each player in a corresponding round if the round termination occurs. Since the invention provides a free-for-all game between teams with respect to a plurality of two or more teams, a more strategic and tense game can be provided.
