PURPOSE: A method for predicting encoding information by using a spatial-temporal correlation and a device thereof are provided to maximally use a correlation between CU(Coding Unit) information by selecting a context model by using CU information corresponding to a reference frame.;CONSTITUTION: A context model selection unit selects one of context modes through CU information adjacent to a current CU and reference frame CU information. The context model selection unit encodes the CU information with a CABAC(Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding) method by using the selected context model.
