PURPOSE: A shaft supporting device using shape memory alloy is provided to stably increase a shaft because external force delivered in a direction of restricting movement of the shat is increased by a supporting unit so that a processing quality of a workpiece is improved.;CONSTITUTION: A shaft supporting device(1) using shape memory alloy comprises a supporting unit(11) and a rolling unit(12). The supporting unit is fixed to one side of a machine tool. The supporting unit supports a shaft rotating for a processing of a workpiece. The rolling unit is installed in between the shaft and a supporting member and rotated by the relative motion of the shaft and supporting member while in the state of contacting to the shaft and supporting member at the same time. A shape of the supporting unit is varied in order that the diameter of the supporting unit can be decreased and the shaking of the shaft can be minimized when the shaft is rotated.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
