MULTIPURPOSE INTENSIVE CONSTRUCTED WETLAND FOR NONPOINT POLLUTANTS TREATMENT

PURPOSE: A multi-functional intensive artificial wetland for non-point pollutant treatment is provided to conserve costs needed for maintenance by simplifying water paths, pipes, and pumps. CONSTITUTION: A multi-functional intensive artificial wetland for non-point pollutant treatment includes a water reservoir(10), a treatment wetland(30), and a draining water path(65). A granule is arranged in the treatment wetland. The treatment wetland includes a partition(40) and a contact media chamber(50). The partition and the contact media chamber define the internal space of the wetland and vary the moving path of water to be treated. A distributing path(20) with a weir is installed at the inlet of the wetland and uniformly induces the water to be treated. Purified water is drained to rivers through a naturally meandered draining path. A water collecting weir(80) crosses the rivers to collect and treat polluted river water. An undercurrent water path with an opened upper part is formed in the water collecting weir. A screen is installed at the upper part of the undercurrent water path.
