PURPOSE: A method for modifying the surface of a metal film collector for a supercapacitor and the supercapacitor using the same are provided to improve the output property of a cell by reducing the inner resistance of the cell. CONSTITUTION: A metal film collector is made of aluminum, copper, nickel, stainless steel, tantalum or platinum. The purity of the aluminum, copper, nickel, stainless steel, tantalum, or platinum is 99% or greater. The surface roughness is increased on single or both surfaces of the metal film collector by irradiating an ultrasonic wave at -30 to 30 degrees centigrade for 0.1 to 5 hours.
