PURPOSE: An azipod hull for a ship and a design method thereof are provided to improve the productivity of structures by enhancing weldability and assemblability by optimizing the shape of coupled surfaces. CONSTITUTION: An azipod hull(1) for a ship comprises an outer plate protruded portion(11), an outer plate recessed portion(13), an azipod hull bottom plate(12), and a connection portion. The outer plate protruded portion is protruded to the outward of an inclined hull bottom surface(100). The outer plate recessed portion is formed to the inward of the hull bottom surface to meet with the outer plate protruded portion at a cross point. A propulsion system(2) is installed on the azipod hull bottom plate. The connection portion connects the outer protruded portion, the outer recessed portion, the azipod hull bottom surface, and the hull bottom surface.
