NOVEL THERAPEUTIC TARGET FOR GASTRIC CANCER BASED ON GASTRIC CANCER STEM CELL

PURPOSE: A method for screening a material which prevents or treat gastric cancer using a novel molecular marker for gastric cancer stem cells and gastric cancer is provided to screen the gastric cancer stem cells and a therapeutic agent candidate and to accurately diagnose gastric cancer or cancer. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material for preventing or treating gastric cancer contains: a step of contacting a sample to a cell or a tissue; and a step of measuring expression level of a protein of sequence number 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 or a polynucleotide of sequence number 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 and determining the sample as the material for preventing or treating gastric cancer. The protein exists on the cell surface or virus surface, or in an isolated form.
