PURPOSE: Position controlling apparatus and a method of rear camera for vehicle is provided to easily adjust position of the rear camera through photographed video information.;CONSTITUTION: Parking line recognition unit(50) recognizes parking line from video information photographed in rear camera(30) of vehicle. Coordinate extraction unit(60) extracts vertex coordinates of the recognized parking line. Distance calculation unit(70) calculates distance between the extracted vertex coordinate and base coordinate. Actuator(80) moves position of the rear camera.
