PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling a rear camera of a vehicle are provided to obtain rear sight by continuously operating the rear camera according to control of a driver when reversing, parking, and driving.;CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling a rear camera of a vehicle comprises an operating unit(101), an angle control unit(102), a gear transmission recognition unit(103), a control unit(105), and an angle control motor driver(106). The operating unit inputs an operating signal, an angle control setting signal, and an angle control reset signal to operate the rear camera(104) when driving and parking. The angle control unit sets the filming angle of the rear camera. The gear transmission recognition unit generates a gear transmission position signal. The control unit stores a predetermined angle data in a memory(107) when the angle control setting signal is input by the operating unit. The control unit recognizes the gear position through the gear transmission recognition unit when the operating signal is generated by the operating unit.
