MICROFLUIDIC CONCENTRATOR FOR COMMUNICATION ASSAYS OF MICROBES

PURPOSE: A microfluidic collector apparatus with a microchannel structure is provided to easily analyze communication between different kinds of microbes and to enhance the reliability of the results. CONSTITUTION: A microfluidic collector apparatus(1000) comprises left side and right side collectors(100), a bridge channel(200) which connects the collectors, and a ratchet channel(300) which is formed on the bridge channel. Different kinds of active microbes are collected in each collector(100a,100b). The ratchet channel has an arrowhead shape which is symmetric to the longitudinal direction of the bridge channel. The ratchet channel blocks the movement of microbes collected in the collector to the outside.
