PURPOSE: A Portable terminal including an electronic dictionary application and a method for integrated dictionary information to the electronic dictionary application of the terminal are provided to supply the integrated dictionary information through the electronic dictionary application by integrally managing electronic dictionary information with a simple method and referring to the information for search. CONSTITUTION: Sub applications(20) include icons and electronic dictionary information. A main application(10) is interlinked with the icons to be executed and refers to the electronic dictionary information of the sub applications to provide a dictionary search result. The main application filters a sub application including the same producer information to form a data table referring to the electronic dictionary information about the filtered sub application. The sub application includes a DRM(Digital Rights Management) authentication module, a download module downloading information about the main application from a server, and an updating module updating the main application.
