PURPOSE: A cleaning robot, for checking a real cleaning area after cleaning and a setting of cleaning area information, and a control system thereof are provided to improve cleaning efficiency with a setting of an efficient cleaning pattern by confirming obstacle information in a cleaning area in advance.;CONSTITUTION: A cleaning robot, for checking a real cleaning area after cleaning and a setting of cleaning area information, and a control system thereof comprises an input or output unit(170), a control unit(150), and a cleaning or driving unit(160). The input or output unit generates image information of the cleaning area and displays the generated image information of the cleaning area. The control unit sets the cleaning area information based on the image information of the cleaning area and displays the cleaning area information through the input or output unit. The control unit automatically moves according to a cleaning pattern and outputs an operating control signal in order to perform cleaning operation.
