METHOD AND A KIT FOR DETECTING MYCOPLASMA CONTAMINATION IN A CELL CULTURE USING REAL-TIME PCR

PURPOSE: A method and a kit for detecting mycoplasma contamination in a cell culture using real-time PCR are provided to quickly and accurately detect mycoplasma with high specificity and sensitivity.;CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting mycoplasma contamination in a cell culture using real-time PCR comprises: a step of preparing a gene sample from a specimen; a step of performing real-time PCR using a primer pair selected from primer pairs for M. arginini 16s rRNA, M. fermentans 16s rRNA, M. hyorhinis 16s rRNA, and M. orale 16s rRNA; a step of measuring mycoplasma contamination level in the cell culture based on amplified amount of the mycoplasma 16s rRNA; and a step of determining mycoplasma contamination in the cell culture based on the contamination level.
