PURPOSE: A node device for content streaming relay and a method thereof are provided to supply a content streaming service to a user terminal in a multicast or a unicast transmission mode according to a check result of content features and network states.;CONSTITUTION: A server connection unit(100) selects a streaming server(12) by considering load distribution according to a streaming request signal of a user terminal(14). When content transmitted to the user terminal is overlapped, a content caching and unicast transmitting unit(120) transmits the overlapped content to the user terminal in a unicast mode.
