PURPOSE: A method for controlling an active air flap is provided to open or close the active air according to the temperature of the cooling water by subdividing the conditions of the vehicle speed and the pressure of a refrigerant according to the driving of a vehicle.;CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an active air flap comprises: a step of setting the pressure of a refrigerant based on a first standard refrigerant pressure or a 'n' standard by dividing the refrigerant pressure value of a vehicle to arbitrary sections; a step of setting the speed of the vehicle based on a first standard speed or a 'n' standard by dividing the value of the speed to the arbitrary sections; a step of setting standard cooling water temperature for converting shield of the air flap by the conditions of the speed or specific refrigerant pressure; a step of measuring the refrigerant pressure, speed, and cooling water temperature when driving; and a step of opening or closing the air flap by comparing the standard cooling water temperature and the measured cooling water temperature which is set to correspond to the measured refrigerant pressure and the conditions of the speed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (AA) Air conditioner switch; (BB) Refrigerant pressure(psi); (CC) Vehicle speed(Km/h); (DD) Cooling water temperature; (EE) Refrigerant pressure = 220; (FF) 170 = Refrigerant pressure 220; (GG) Vehicle speed 45; (HH) 45 = Vehicle speed 80; (II) Vehicle speed = 80; (JJ,KK,NN,PP,RR,TT) Reference cooling water temperature; (LL) 85 = Refrigerant pressure 170; (MM) Vehicle speed 45; (OO) 45 = Vehicle speed 80; (QQ) Vehicle speed = 80; (SS) Refrigerant pressure 85
