The device (10) has a cooling air channel (12) supplying first air stream (LS1) to a cooler (20) of an internal combustion engine. A cooling air flap (14) is arranged in the channel and movable between an open position (S1) and a closed position. An air guide element (16) guides second air stream (LS2), and is movable between an activated position (P1) and a deactivated position. The guide element is coupled to the flap such that opening and closing of the flap activates and deactivates the element to generate lifting of the flap and the guide element in equal position.
