PURPOSE: A fresh-salt water interface tracing device and an installation method using the same are provided to use a neutral buoyancy apparatus which measures the position of the fresh-salt water interface in real time by moving according to the position change of the fresh-salt water interface. CONSTITUTION: A fresh-salt water interface tracing device is comprised of the followings: a power source cable(400); a rotating cylinder(200) in which the power source cable is wound and is rotatable; a fixed cylinder(300) which is positioned in the center of the rotating cylinder and becomes a rotary shaft of the rotating cylinder; an electromagnet(100) which is connected to one end of the power source cable; a first rod type member which is connected to the other end of the power source cable and is fixed to the rotating cylinder; and a ring type member which connects the first rod type member at an outer periphery and is attached to the fixed cylinder.
