PURPOSE: A transient excessive voltage protective voltage regulator is provided to decrease damage due to a low voltage component combined to an output transistor by separating the transient of a supply voltage from an output.;CONSTITUTION: A first transistor (405) detects a transient voltage by using a low pass filter (404). A second transistor is turned off in order to protect a component combined to the second transistor from the transient voltage. The first transistor includes a control node, and is configured to receive the supply voltage from the control node through the low pass filter.
