PURPOSE: A propeller blade shape design method using a non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) is provided to calculate the position of each calibration point by grafting an equation through a NURBS curve based on basic data, thereby easily clearly performing airfoil type expression of a blade. CONSTITUTION: Design data of a blade airfoil type is produced. A first parameter value of each point forming an airfoil type is produced according as the design data is grafted to a NURBS curve generation equation. The position of a calibration point of the each airfoil type is calculated by the operation of the corresponding first parameter value. The position of a final calibration point is calculated to a second parameter value after a second parameter value is produced through each calibration point position data. Curved surface data is produced according as the position of the final calibration is operated with a NURBS curve production equation.
