PURPOSE: An extension cap utilized for constructing a bulb type soil nail and a method for constructing the bulb type soil nail are provided to firmly couple a wedge and a wedge coupling hole as tensile force is actuated on a bulb type cable and a compressive force is actuated on the extension cap. CONSTITUTION: An extension cap (100) utilized for constructing a bulb type soil nail includes a bulb type cable, a distribution plate, a wedge (20), an elastic connection member (10), a wedge coupling hole (30), a wedge contacting unit, and a wedge coupling hole contacting unit. A second through-hole in which the bulb type cable penetrated through the wedge penetrates is formed on the wedge contacting unit and becomes in contact with the wedge. The wedge coupling hole contacting unit is extended from the wedge contacting unit and becomes in contact with the wedge coupling hole. An extension device is connected to the extension cap and the bulb type cable penetrated through the extension cap so that the bulb type cable is extended.
