PURPOSE: A method for culturing lung epithelial cells using a microfluidic chip is provided to understand the function of lung epithelial cells and to study lung-related diseases.;CONSTITUTION: A microfluidic chip comprises: a first inlet port for injecting a fluid containing a culture medium; a second inlet port for injecting a fluid containing transforming growth factor; two reservoirs which are able to store the fluids; an outlet for discharging the fluids; a microfluidic channel through which the fluids pass; and a vacuum network channel. A method for culturing lung epithelial cells using the microfluidic chip comprises the steps of: attaching the microfluidic chip on a plate on which the cells are cultured and pressurizing the microfluidic chip; putting the pressurized plate-microfluidic chip into a culture machine; and culturing the cells while pouring the fluids into the microfluidic channel.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
