BELT DRIVEN ELECTRIC STARTER SYSTEM, CAPABLE OF SOLVING A LAYOUT PROBLEM CAUSED BY A SPACE SHORTAGE USING A TENSION REGULATOR

PURPOSE: A belt driven electric starter system is provided to easily deliver power for driving an engine to a tension regulator as a starter generator interlocks with the tension regulator.;CONSTITUTION: A belt driven electric starter system comprises a starter generator, two idle pulleys(10), and a tension regulator(20). The starter generator is fixed to a hinge point formed at an engine part. The two idle pulleys are fixed to the pulley inlet and outlet of the starter generator. The tension regulator is rotationally fixed to the engine part and starter generator. A driving belt(8a) is wound around a crank pulley(6) connected to a crank shaft of an engine(30). The tension regulator is loosened or contracted by the reaction force of the driving belt.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
