Back Light Unit Having High Brightness and Low Power

摘要

PURPOSE: A backlight unit with low power and high brightness is provided to insert index matching materials between an LED(Light Emitting Diode) and a light guide plate, thereby reducing loss of light. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(100) is arranged on a backlight unit surface. A plurality of LED packages(110) are installed on one side or both sides of the light guide plate. An index matching unit(120) buffers a refractive index between the light guide plate and the LED packages. The index matching unit is formed of materials. The materials have a refractive index which is between the refractive index of the LED packages and the refractive index of the light guide plate.
