Microdisplay opportunity: small size low power big image bright future

摘要

Abstract: Microdisplays, which offers displays with small size,low power, big image, and a bright future, areparticular useful for low power mobile personalcommunication and information display. Among allpossible technologies, active matrix addressed liquidcrystal displays using CMOS circuit fabricated insingle-crystal silicon is presently the best approachfor these microdisplays. A personal view on themicrodisplay advantages and possible opportunities issummarized. A detailed description on the leading Kopinmonochrome and color virtual displays is given.!6
