PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a thin film type substrate for a solar cell and the thin film type substrate for the solar cell manufactured thereby are provided to effectively form a ZnO(zinc oxide) transparent electrode on the substrate by oxidizing a galvanized steel sheet at high temperatures. CONSTITUTION: A galvanizing material is prepared solar in a lower substrate for a solar cell(S11). Ga(gallium) is coated on the top of the galvanizing material. Al is coated the top of the galvanizing material. The galvanizing material is heated at 250-1500C(S12). A ZnO electrode layer is formed on the top of the galvanizing material(S13).
