PURPOSE: A reverse osmosis type seawater desalination system and a reverse osmosis type seawater desalination plant controlling method are provided to control the operational rate of a seawater desalination plant according to the power usage of an intelligent electrical grid. CONSTITUTION: A reverse osmosis type seawater desalination system includes a first seawater intake pump(110), a second seawater intake pump(130), and a plurality of trains(150). The trains include a high pressure pump, a separation wall, and an energy collecting unit. The high pressure pump converts seawater from the first seawater intake pump into high pressure seawater. The separation wall separates the high pressure seawater into fresh water and high pressure salty water.
