PURPOSE: A diamond grinding wheel for polishing a sapphire and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase grinding speed and reduce the surface cracks on a sapphire by increasing the elastic force of a grinding wheel. CONSTITUTION: A diamond grinding wheel(2) for polishing a sapphire comprises diamond powder and first and second phenol resin powder. 60 to 70wt.% of the first phenol resin powder is added into the 100wt.% of the diamond powder. 5 to 15wt.% of the second phenol resin is added into the 100wt.% of the diamond powder.
