PURPOSE: A validation method using the BMS simulator is provided to verify the balancing function and operation property of BMS through not only a normal operation test of the balancing function by comparing the voltage deviation value between the variable voltage source and other cell voltage sources and the voltage deviation value of the predetermined BMS, but also measuring the time consumed for balancing and internal temperature change of BMS. CONSTITUTION: A BMS simulator capable of the balancing function verification is comprised of a control unit(100) which controls the voltage of the variable voltage source(200), and verifies the balancing function of BMS by comparing the voltage deviation value between the variable voltage source and other cell voltage sources and the voltage deviation value of the predetermined BMS; and the variable voltage source which varies the voltage according to the control of control unit, and supplies the current to BMS according to the balancing function operation of BMS. A control unit includes an additional verification module which measures the time consumed for the operation and termination of the balancing function, and the internal temperature change of BMS according to the balancing.
