PURPOSE: An Oryzias javanicus gene responding to the exposure of 17 beta-estradiol(E2), and a method for diagnosing environmental pollution using the same are provided to identify a biomarker for detecting the exposure of 17 beta-estradiol. CONSTITUTION: A microarray chip for detecting the exposure of a steroid hormone in a sample and diagnosing environmental pollution contains a full sequence of one or more genes, a fragment thereof, or a complementary molecule of the fragment. Genes of the microarray chip are derived from Oryzias javanicus. The steroid hormone is 17beta-esterdiol. A method for detecting the exposure of the steroid hormone in a sample and diagnosing environmental pollution comprises: a step of isolating RNAs from Oryzias javanicus as an experimental group, which is treated with the sample, and steroid hormone-free Oryzias javanicus as a control group; a step of synthesizing cDNAs from the RNAs of the experimental group and the control group, and labeling with different fluorescent substances; a step of hybridizing the labeled cDNAs with the microarray chip; a step of analyzing the microarray chip; and a step of comparing gene expression levels between the experimental group and the control group.
