PURPOSE: A transformed cell line which expresses human melanopsin and a method for screening a material which affects circadian rhythm-related biomolecules and circadian rhythm is provided to early diagnose various diseases. CONSTITUTION: A transformed animal cell line which expresses human melanopsin is prepared by transforming an animal cell with a vector containing a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 1, which encodes human melanopsin proteins. A method for screening circadian rhythm-related biomolecules comprises: a step of transforming an animal cell line with the vector and preparing the transformed animal cell line; a step of activating the melanopsin proteins in the transformed animal cell line; and a step of analyzing the expression of a circadian rhythm gene in the transformed animal cells.
