FORGING FLANGE BEING FORMED ON THE OUTER CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE METAL CASE AND FORGING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A forging machine and method for a flange formed on the outer periphery of a metal case are provided to make a plurality of flanges on each curved surface with widening the upper part of the metal case in order to tightly install a motor in the metal case. CONSTITUTION: A forging method for a flange formed on the outer periphery of a metal case comprises a cutting process, a heating process, a process of inserting a ring shaped metal pipe, a forging process, and a trimming process. The cutting process is for cutting the ring shaped metal pipe in accordance with the length in order to manufacture the metal case. The heating process is for heating the upper part of the ring shaped metal pipe at 120050C. The process of inserting the ring shaped metal pipe is for forming a widened part at the upper part of the ring shaped metal pipe. The forging process is to forge the upper part of the ring shaped metal pipe by inserting the support part of the upper mold into the metal pipe in order to curve the upper part of the metal pipe. The trimming process is for forming the winded part at the upper part of the metal pipe by the forging process.
