METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE STRENGTH OF ROCK TEXTURE USING A MICROCRACK

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating the strength of rock texture using a microcrack is provided to draw the strength of a corresponding rock by each texture through a parameter of the microcrack, to accurately determine a quarrying direction, and to enhance real quarry yield.;CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating the strength of rock texture using a microcrack comprises the steps of: collecting a square rock sample from granite; preparing thin sections which are parallel with three sides of the rock sample; measuring a microcrack with intersectional textures on each thin section; and evaluating the strength of the rock texture through a parameter of the microcrack in the thin sections. The parameter is the whole length of the microcrack in the step of evaluating the strength of the texture.
