PURPOSE: A stern appendage to improve the sailing speed of a ship and the wake of a stern is provided to minimize the self-resistance of the stern appendage and to enhance flow uniformity and flow distribution. CONSTITUTION: A stern appendage(50) to improve the sailing speed of a ship is fixed and installed on a stern in the front upper part of a propeller(200). The stern appendage comprises a flow controllable blade(30) installed in a transverse direction in parallel to the upper part of the propeller.
