PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing esculetin as an active ingredient for improving anti-wrinkling and anti-aging is provided to promote collagen synthesis and to enhance skin elasticity and anti-aging activity. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for anti-wrinkling and anti-aging contains a compound of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. The compound of chemical formula 1 enhances expression level of type 1 procollagen and transcription of COL1A1. The compound of chemical formula 1 enhances expression level of transcription factor, Sp1.
