The invention relates to laboratory equipment and can be used in teaching laboratories on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of technical universities, colleges and technical schools. A well-known device has a fixed arm dimensions and constant position of support of its parts, which does not allow to carry out research to identify the dependence of forces on the stand units sizes to fit the static friction. In the proposed device the brake shoe lever on the left and right of the pad is made telescopic, two outer rod telescopic connections are made with terminals at the ends, terminal left side of the rod toward the right, and the right - left, horizontal platform on which there is a pivot joint of the lever, configured to movable along the horizontal guide frame and fixed thereto.
