FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: method of determining imidacloprid in biological objects using high-performance liquid chromatography can be used in laboratories to control quality of animal derived products, determine residual amounts of imidacloprid in feed crops and for conducting intravital or posthumous diagnosis of toxicosis during accidental acute poisoning of animals. The method of determining imidacloprid in biological objects using high-performance liquid chromatography involves sample collection, extraction, filtration, dehydration with anhydrous sodium sulphate, evaporation, adding a dissolved dry residue into a liquid chromatograph and processing the analysis results. The sample used is a weighed portion of animal organs or tissue weighing 50-200 mg. Extraction is carried out with acetone; the dissolved dry residue is added to a Khromoe-ZHKH 301 liquid chromatograph with a spectrophotometric detector UVV 104M; a Diasfer - NOS - 16 (150×4) mm column with sorbent pore size of 5 mcm is used; the eluent used is a mixture of acetonitrile and water in ratio of 30:70.;EFFECT: high sensitivity and selectivity of the method and cutting analysis time by half.
