The under water generator system (10) has a generator (20) for providing electrical energy, a standpipe (11) and a water-tight and pressure-stabilized hollow body (12), which encloses an inner space (13) and has a connection to the water surface (1) over the standpipe through the water. A blade assembly (21) is drivingly connected to the generator. The blade assembly is arranged in the inner space with respect to inlet openings (14.1,14.2) of the hollow body, such that a water jet acts on the blade assembly to move in rotation. The rotation is transmitted to the generator.
