The pocket spring core has several helically wound springs such as waist springs (4.1,4.2) and barrel springs (5.1,5.2), and spring strings (7,8). The barrel springs are in correspondence with the concave curvature of waist springs. The barrel and waist spring are provided with different wire diameters and largest outer diameters. The height of the barrel springs is equal or not equal to relative to the height of the waist springs.
