The cutting tool comprises a base body (3) that comprises cutting edges (2) in a region of its free end, where the cutting edges extend radially outward starting from the center of the base body. The cutting edge is coated with a diamond layer (4). The diamond layer: is partially post-processed in such a manner that the cutting edge has a sharp edge (6) at a side facing away from the base body; comprises a post-processed first surface (8a) and/or a second surface; is a chemical vapor deposited layer; and has a thickness of 0.05-0.3 mm. The cutting tool comprises a base body (3) that comprises cutting edges (2) in a region of its free end, where the cutting edges extend radially outward starting from the center of the base body. The cutting edge is coated with a diamond layer (4). The diamond layer: is partially post-processed in such a manner that the cutting edge has a sharp edge (6) at a side facing away from the base body; comprises a post-processed first surface (8a) and/or a second surface; is a chemical vapor deposition layer; and has a thickness of 0.05-0.3 mm. The first and second surfaces are arranged in an angle such that the sharp edge is formed in a contact region of the surfaces. In the region of the cutting edge, the outer contour of the diamond layer facing away from the base body corresponds to the contour of the cutting edge. The base body is integrally formed in a spiral shape, and extends away from the region of the cutting edge. A tensioning nut is arranged on an outer periphery of the base body. The free end of the tool has round and/or square shape, where the cutting edge extends from the free end about the outer periphery of the base body.
